Most students take the SAT during the spring of their junior year. Many choose to take the SAT a second time in the fall of their senior year. At least half of all students take the SAT twice - and most students improve their score the second time around.

In general, your child should take the SAT Subject Tests after completing the related course, or, for the language tests, after studying the language for at least two years. Since not all Subject Tests are offered on every test date, students should check to see when the Subject Tests they're interested in are offered.
