CFISD tennis athletes earn 2024 academic all-district honors
Cypress Falls High School junior Adaliz Diazgranados is among the more than 200 CFISD tennis athletes who qualified for 2024 Academic All-District 16-6A and District 17-6A honors.
July 11, 2024—More than 200 CFISD tennis athletes were named to the Academic All-District 16-6A and District 17-6A tennis teams.
Athletes who earned academic all-district honors finished the season in good academic standing and earned a composite weighted GPA of 5.5 or higher for all classes for the two identified six weeks that make up the majority of their regular season.
“Congratulations to the tennis programs on another banner season which culminated with representation at the state tennis tournament,” said Charles Ament, associate athletic director. “We are excited to see great representation for academic excellence that reflects the dedication of excellence in athletics and academics which are two of the primary pillars of the CFISD athletic department. The student athletics that are recognized are the embodiment of everything good about athletics in our community.”
Cypress Woods High School freshman Aakash Bhat earned 2024 Academic All-District 16-6A honors.
