CFISD golfers qualify for 2024 academic all-district teams
Cypress Lakes High School junior Shelton Carter was among more than 130 CFISD student-athletes named to the Academic All-District 16-6A and 17-6A golf teams.
July 16, 2024—More than 130 CFISD student-athletes qualified for the Academic All-District 16-6A and 17-6A boys’ and girls’ golf teams.
All 12 high school programs were represented by the students who earned the academic all-district recognition. Those who earned the honor finished the 2023-2024 season in good standing and earned a composite weighted grade point average of 5.5 or higher for all classes for the two identified six weeks that make up the majority of their regular season.
“Another tremendous season for golf concluded with representation at the state tournaments from several CFISD programs,” said Charles Ament, CFISD associate athletic director. “Congratulations to the student-athletes who are great representatives of the CFISD programs on the golf courses and in the classroom. The individual dedication to excel in both is admired.”
Cy-Fair High School junior Kaylee Williams was named to the Academic All-District 16-6A and 17-6A golf teams.
