CFISD boys’ basketball players qualify for 2024 academic all-district teams
Bridgeland High School senior Alexander Osborne was among the 70 student-athletes named to the Academic All-District Boys’ Basketball teams.
July 11, 2024—Seventy CFISD student-athletes qualified for the Academic All-District 16-6A and 17-6A boys’ basketball teams.
Cypress Springs High School sophomore Landon Veal was among the student-athletes named to the 16-6A Academic All-District Boys’ Basketball Team.
All 12 CFISD high school programs were represented by the students who earned the academic all-district recognition. Those who earned the honor finished the 2023-2024 season in good standing and earned a composite weighted grade point average of 5.5 or higher for all classes for the two identified six weeks that make up the majority of their regular season.
Cy-Fair High School junior Kendarious Johnson was among the student-athletes named to the 17-6A Academic All-District Boys’ Basketball Team.
“We are excited about the level of success that our teams had this year in boys’ basketball,” said Charles Ament, CFISD associate athletic director. “However, the excellence displayed in the classroom is something that we are equally excited to celebrate. Academic excellence is one of the pillars of the athletic department. Congratulations to the student-athletes that are being recognized for their academic prowess and devotion to excellence on the court and in the classroom.”
Jersey Village High School senior Gavin Davis was among the student-athletes named to the 17-6A Academic All-District Boys Basketball Team.
